Sarah M. Nichols is the founder and co-owner of Nichols & Dimes, an independent bookstore created to serve as a welcoming community gathering space in North Platte. With a heart for small business and a passion for literature, Sarah founded Nichols & Dimes with the vision of blending thoughtfully curated books, meaningful events, and a warm, inviting atmosphere where readers of all ages feel at home.
As a lifelong reader and entrepreneur, Sarah believes bookstores are more than retail spaces — they are community anchors. Her goal is to provide North Platte with a place where families discover children’s classics, book clubs gather for discussion, local authors share their stories, and neighbors connect over coffee and conversation.
Nichols & Dimes reflects Sarah’s commitment to supporting literacy, local partnerships, and economic growth in the region. From carefully selected inventory to creative programming and collaborations with area schools and organizations, she is dedicated to building a bookstore that contributes to the vibrancy of North Platte and the broader Lincoln County community.
